What are the cancellation fee rates?
If the reservation is for up to 14 people, cancel fees will be charged for cancellations starting from 3 days prior to reservation. Details are as follows:

*Outside of holiday seasons, the cancellation policy comes into effect from 3 days notice.
Example: A cancellation for a July 18th 1-night stay canceled three days before on July 15th would be subject to a 30% fee.

General sales tax is assessed, as well as Kyoto City's accommodation tax, which, as of October 1st, 2018 is levied as follows (per person per night): under 20,000 yen=200 yen, 20,000-50,000 yen=500 yen, 50,000 yen and up=1,000 yen.
All room rates displayed on our website are inclusive of sales tax but do not include accommodation tax.
All service fees are also included in room rates.
I am traveling with small children (under age 5); what charges are there for children who don't require meals or their own beds?
We do not charge any accommodation fees for accompanying small children or infants if they will sleep with their parents in the same bed/futon (this is called soi-ne in Japanese).
How many children are covered by the soi-ne policy?
We allow this policy for the same number of adults in the room (e.g. 2 parents in a room allows 2 children to stay without charge in accordance with our soi-ne policy.)
Are there non-smoking rooms?
Yes. All our rooms are non-smoking.
Is there a designated smoking space onsite?
Guests are permitted to smoke in our first floor smoking lounge that have them.

Is there internet connectivity in guest rooms?
For our guests' ease and comfort, guest rooms, as well as our front and lounge areas, are all connected to a wireless internet (wi-fi) network.
From making travel plans to catching up on business, guests can access the internet at any time from their wi-fi compatible devices.

Is there currency exchange on site?
We are very sorry, but we are unable to exchange currency in our hotel.
Restaurant/Cuisine
I have some food allergies; can my dining plan be adjusted?
As much as possible, we will try to accommodate all allergies and dietary restrictions (especially in religious cases). However, we are unable to make last-minute menu changes, so we require advanced notice to adjust dining plans.
In some cases, especially in those with life-threatening consequences, after consulting with our chefs, we may have to refuse some adjustment requests.
Still, we want our guests to have the best possible experience dining with us, so even in instances of severe food aversion, please don't hesitate to consult with us about your dining plan.
Though ultimately our chefs will make the final decisions, we will take every consideration regarding guests' requirements.
What are my options for dinner/breakfast times and locations?
Both dinner and breakfast are served in our restaurant, Kiyomizu Saryo. Some of our Japanese-style rooms offer plans that include dinner served in suite.
I will need to heat milk/formula to feed my child; can I do this during dinner time?
Of course. Please let our staff know and we are happy to assist you.
Facilities
Is there a private bath on site?
Yes. On our third floor, we have our hot tub , ttau-yasaka, which is available by reservation.
From this onsen-style bath, guests can view the 5-story Yasaka Pagoda, a symbol of the Higashiyama area. It features a large, 3m-wide tub so guests can wash away the cares of travel with lots of space to lounge.
※We also have stay plans that include the use of this bath in the room rate.
※This bath uses bath additive products. We change them regularly to reflect Kyoto's many seasons.
Is there a wheelchair available on site for guest use?
Yes, there is. However, numbers are limited so please let us know at time of reservation so we may save one for you.
Are there vending machines on site?
Vending machines are located near the elevators on the third floor.
Access/Parking
I will be arriving with a rental car; are there parking facilities?
We have 18 free parking spaces, but guests will need to reserve a space in advance. As space is limited, in some cases, guests may be directed to nearby public parking facilities.
Is there a pick-up service?
We apologize for any inconvenience but we are not offering pick-up services at this time.
Other
We are staying for a special occasion; is it possible to order cakes or flowers?
Yes. We offer decorated cakes, as well as flower bouquets and arrangements. Please tell us about your occasion when you make your room reservation and we will make sure your celebration is a memorable one.
